Ingredients:

  • French bread (sliced ½”- ¾“)
  • Garlic Sauce
  • Kosher salt
  • Fresh mozzarella
  • Garlic oil (from bottle) 1Tbl
  • Shallots (mince) – optional 1Tbl
  • Tomato (medium dice) 1c
  • Basil (fine julienne)1½ – 2 Tbl
  • Black pepper (freshly ground) pinch
  • Kosher salt ¼tsp or to taste
  • Balsamic syrupto taste

 

Procedure:

  • Place garlic oil, garlic sauce, and shallots in a small teflon pan and cook over medium heat for 1 minute
  • Place garlic and shallot mixture in a small bowl
  • Add tomato, basil, and seasoning and mix well; set aside
  • Evenly brush bread with Garlic Sauce
  • Season lightly with salt and bake in 350°F oven until lightly toasted and remove from oven
  • Place sliced mozzarella on crostini and continue baking for 2 minutes
  • Remove from heat
  • Even distribute tomato mixture on crostini and serve
